PE is on a Tuesday and Outdoor Learning is on a Thursday
In Reception, we plan a wide range of learning experiences including daily communication and language, mathematics and literacy lessons. We also provide opportunities for children to develop their own ideas through continuous provision. Our aim is to support our young learners to develop their independence and confidence together with a love of learning.
Wherever the children will be doing their learning, at school or at home, I hope they will enjoy the planned activities. I’m sure they will continue to develop their positive attitudes to having a go that I have seen emerging over the year so far.
Our topic this half term is called Who lives in a rockpool? This topic gets the children thinking about which creatures live on the seashore? Why do crabs have shells? Explore these questions and more in this project about the seashore and the plants and animals that live there. We have started our topic by reading the story Tiddler.
