As part of their topic ‘Through the Ages’, year 4 went on a field trip to Grimspound on Dartmoor where there are the remains of a Bronze Age settlement. The children had to use the evidence around them to decide why the Bronze Age settlers chose to build their homes on this site and they also had to try and work out what the different structures may have been and what they were used for. They were great history detectives and geographers using what they knew and what they could see to make their inferences.
