Summer Term Update

Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope that you are all well and managing to keep yourselves and families safe and busy at this challenging time.

I am writing to touch base with you all and let you know of the initial plans for after Easter. We are awaiting further guidance on the lockdown review by Monday 13th April. The INSET day was already planned for Tuesday 14th April and so this will continue to be a non-pupil day. Once we have further guidance following the review, I will write to you and let you know what the school plans are for opening from Wednesday 15th April.

As it stands, it is looking like we will continue to be open for key workers, pupils with EHCPs and those classed as vulnerable (with a social worker). This will be on a rota system for staff to keep both staff and pupils safe as best as we can. There will be an online booking system for this made available on the INSET day for you to book pupils onto, but again, this will be where there is no other option for childcare as it is safest at this time for pupils to be at home.

We will continue to provide daily online learning on the class pages via the website after Easter, and if this is to continue long term, we will be looking at how teachers can communicate with their pupils further. We will also be looking at how we continue to provide Free School Meals to those pupils eligible. More info to follow on this soon.

Best wishes,
Annabelle Thomas
Head of School
