Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope that you are all safe and well during this difficult time. Life is challenging at the moment and while times are uncertain, we recognise that you may be feeling anxious and concerned about your child’s transition to school. Rest assured, that we will try and get information out to you as and when we know more.
In the meantime, we wanted to introduce ourselves and offer some advice to support you on how to ensure your child is prepared for school. We would usually be inviting you in at this time for a tour of the school and a ‘Meet the teacher’ session, but obviously for safety reasons during Covid-19 this is not able to happen. Therefore, we have put together a virtual session where you will get to meet some of the immediate staff working with your child which will hopefully be in September. You will hear some key information to help both you and your child understand a little bit more about our school and the expectations of being in Reception.
The password to view the welcome video is located in the letter we have posted to you.
Usually we would have transition arrangements in place for ‘stay and play’ sessions in July, but it is unlikely that this will be able to happen. We will be in touch in the next few weeks when we hope to have more guidance to let you know what the transition arrangements look like for September.
In the meantime, I hope that you enjoy our video and information to get to know us better. We very much look forward to teaching your children and working closely with you in the future. Please try not to worry and remember that everyone is in the same boat! Any questions that you have, please do not hesitate to get in touch via phone or our e-mail addresses are all on the website.
Mrs Annabelle Thomas
Head of School.
